Hubert (Bert) Dreyfus was Professor of Philosophy at UC Berkeley. I came across his work in 2006 when his lectures were recorded as podcasts for iTunesU and consumed each course with relish. A word of advice though. An introductory discussion of Husserl, Phenomenology, Heidegger, and Existentialism with Hubert Dreyfus and Bryan Magee from 1987.
